Anniversary Trip Day 13 August 15

Today we had an early start! We checked out of our hotel room at 4:30 a.m. Here's our selfie in the hotel room mirror...not an ounce of coffee in us yet!

Our weather this morning was overcast and cold!

Fortunately the ferry was right across the street from us and we got in line for the 6:10 am ferry without much problem. Passports were checked and customs questions were answered (no fruit, plants or Cuban cigars in our rental car!). We waited in the car until 5:45 when we loaded into the ferry. I grabbed a seat by the window in the lounge while my awesome husband bought coffees and pastries from the ferry cafe. Our view before leaving Victoria Harbor:

As we were pulling out of the harbor:

A couple of cups of coffee later, we felt almost human. Once arriving in Port Angeles, Washington we headed out towards Port Orchard. We stopped at a Starbucks for MORE coffee because we are serious caffeine addicts!

We got to the hotel at 10:30 am with a check on time of 3:00 pm. I took a chance and asked if we could have an early check in time. And they said YES!!! A room was ready for us! Thank you God! We promptly went to the room and slept for awhile. We had lunch at a place called Home Made Cafe. I had a turkey sandwich with whipped cream cheese and cranberry sauce on it.

Jose had a chicken sandwich with chipotle mayo:
We drove around a bit and then relaxed at the hotel. When dinner time rolled around we went to a local Mexican place. The portions were HUGE and neither one of us could finish all our food:
This is my order of two ground beef sopas. Delicious!

Jose had three Carne asada Tacos and rice and beans:

We stayed outside our hotel room to watch the sunset...absolutely gorgeous!!!
