A Winter Writing Prompt

Why are you are grateful for the winter season? List 10 (or more) specific things you are grateful for. (found here )

Well, even though "winter" in Southern California isn't like winter in the rest of the USA, it does get considerably colder than our summer months.
So here goes my list, in no particular order:

1. Cold weather lets me happily snuggle up under my blankets on the couch and in bed.

2. Hot drinks like coffee throughout the day, including Tazo Refresh tea and lemony teas.

3. Wearing socks in cold weather--especially handknit ones!

4. Cuddling up with my hubby in cold weather is awesome--not so fun in 100 degree summer months.

5. Cooking more soups and comfort foods.

6. Baking more goodies for my family and friends.

7. More knitting time!

8. The smell of fireplaces being used in the neighborhood (we don't have one!)

9. Wearing long sleeves and sweaters.

10. The feel of the car heater early in the morning before driving to work.

That's a fun writing prompt and I'd be tempted to steal it and do on my blog, except for one small thing. My list would be eerily similar to yours! I love snuggling, fires, roasting marshmallows, drinking hot tea and cocoa, standing in a piping hot shower, wearing sweaters and sweatshirts, bundling up in coats, scarves and gloves, etc. I would be hard pressed to come up with something you didn't name - so... great list!!!

A great list Maria but I'll still trade you my Ohio winter for your California one. LOL
