- Our Hawaiian vacation in August to Oahu and especially Matthew's trip to the ER for stepping on something (can't remember the name right now) while out in the ocean.
- My sister's kidney transplant on December 1st and my kidney donation surgery on December 6th.
- Moving out of my "fitness comfort zone" and trying both Zumba and running.
- Receiving a Kindle for my 48th birthday and just the whole idea of reading a book electronically is something I won't soon forget doing!
- Taking out a fifth grade student, Robert, and his family to dinner at Hometown Buffet (his choice) in September to celebrate his reaching Proficient on the CSTs in May.
- The beginning of the master bedroom redecorating...painting it beige and milk chocolate brown, installing new laminate flooring (thanks Jose and his brother in law, Jose Luis!)
- Talking long walks on Waikiki Beach by myself during our vacation.
- Dinner conversations with Jose and our three sons that often discussed books, religion, politics, education (theirs and in general), family, food, and just life.
- Going to Fishfest 2010 with the Gomez Family and my son, Michael.
- An unexpected lunch date with my best friend, Charlie, at Chipotle this summer. He was in town visiting his parents and called me. We sat there for over two hours talking about our lives, families, hopes and dreams.
It's time for me to have my little corner of the web. This blog is an inkling of my random thoughts, memories, worries, and joys. It's just a small part of what makes up the whole me. And it will be constantly changing because it is me...at this moment.
