On the flight to DC this morning, we became aware that Washington, DC had suffered a 5.8 earthquake at 1:15 p.m. this earthquake was the first one experienced by many east coast residents. For awhile we worried our plane wouldn't land as some area airports quit allowing departing flights. We landed on time and carried on to our hotel. We had a nice dinner outdoors and I finally heard cicadas!
Didn't do any sightseeing because we were too tired.
