Sedona

Here are some highlights from our tour of Sedona yesterday. Somehow the pictures don't do justice to the true red of the rocks. We signed up for a two hour tour and wound up being the only people on the tour. The tour guide, Emily, was nice enough to customize it to our photography buff needs. Jose bought me a new lens for my Rebel the day before, it's a Canon 55-200mm lens. I had that on my camera during the tour and he had the huge telephoto lens on his camera. That caused a bit of a problem when we asked Emily to take our picture in front of one of the famous red rocks, Catheral Rock. She had to go stand all the way across the parking lot to try and get us and Catheral Rock in the picture. We should have brought a smaller lens with us. Oh well! Here's that pic she took with my camera:

This is called Chapel of the Holy Cross and was absolutely beautiful. Please check out the link if you have time to read the story behind the Chapel.

These flowers were outside the chapel and I just loved the sign!

I think everyone should try to visit here once in their lifetime. God's beauty is so evident and it is just such a relaxing place to spend some time. One more day here and then we'll be heading home to our sons. I do miss them!
